Materiale Centralen, in collaboration with Emergency Architecture and Human Rights, has been a proactive character for the continuation of the homeless center project in Nordvest, through helping the creation of an outdoor space in front of the Kirk’s Korshærs centre in Kæmnervej 1, 2400, København NV. The project has also been developed in collaboration with 2400 Hippieness, an association interested in developing the social spaces of the neighborhood and facilitating the dialogue between all the inhabitants of the area.
This part of the project is a first step to create a common open space to suggest integration. The project aims at creating an open garden where locals and homeless migrants can meet and spend time together.
The role of Materiale Centralen has been to provide the right materials, the tools for building and the man power to build benches and plant boxes.
